Our CAN interfaces are electronic cards that can be used in order to expand the functionality of other electronic devices. Indeed, both our MDC and PDI cards allow to increase the number of available outputs.
For example, they can be used on radio remote controls, to collect the information to be shown on the display or to extend the system functionality.
Furthermore, Faber-Com CAN interfaces can also be used as protocol converters.

MDC CAN BUS ACQUISITION CARDS
MDC control units are CAN bus acquisition cards, available either in open box or closed box version. Different software and hardware configurations are available according to the required application.
MDC is equipped with 8 analogue inputs, 3 on-off inputs and 2 digital outputs.
All our MDC acquisition cards can be programmed thanks to our PRG2 keyboard or connecting them to a PC, via our AIS adapter.
A typical application is represented by the utilization with our Scanreco G2B radio remote controls, where the MDC allows to collect and manage all the information to be shown on the display. More in general, this type of control unit allows to implement additional functionality and extended logic in different devices, radio remote cotnrols included.

PDI CAN BUS ELECTRONIC CARDS
Our PDI control units are CAN bus electronic cards designed for the acquisition of several analogue and digital inputs. This device can process up to 12 analogue inputs (4÷20 mA) and 23 digital inputs (0-30V).
Like our MDC card, the PDI allows to increse the number of available inputs on a device, implement special working logics or convert CAN protocols. Furthermore, PDI control units can be supplied together with Scanreco systems to add special functionalities.
